Rob Mader | Tenor Saxophone
After graduating from Hemet High School in Southern California, Rob planned on pursuing a degree in computer science. He worked at Disneyland while attending Fullerton College and played in the jazz ensemble. At a music festival, he was offered a full music scholarship to UNLV, which changed the course of his life. Rob Mader is a freelance woodwind player who has worked constantly since moving to Las Vegas and is a featured member in Santa Fe and the Fat City Horns, The Las Vegas Jazz Connection, and Latin Breeze.
Rob has a Bachelors degree in music performance from the University of Nevada, where as time permits, he teaches saxophone. He is a former student of Bill Green (LA multi-reed studio musician), Felix Viscuglia (Boston Pops clarinetist), and Don Menza (writer and jazz great).
Rob was a member of the remarkable Clint Holmes band that ran at Harrah’s for seven years and went on to perform with Bette Midler at Caesars Palace for two years, and currently he is with the Donny and Marie Show at the Flamingo. You can also see him performing with Steve Wynn’s Showstoppers, and “Vegas, the Show” on his dark nights. He has also performed in the musicals A.C.E., Phantom of the Opera, The Producers, Spamalot, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, Peter Pan, Man of La Mancha, Annie, and The Music Man.

Rob’s TV credits include performances on The Tonight Show, The View, PBS, In Demand, The Oprah Winfrey Show and The 13th Annual Latin Grammys with Caetano Veloso.
